Hi guys.. once i've copied all the files choosing NTFS quick for my partition, when the computer reboots and it goes for the installation it says that a file is missing or corrupt:
System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys
i think its because of the cd that i made...
Anyways.. i was wondering if i have to reformat and start everything again or if i could somehow choose the FAT option so i can reinstall windows without reformatting and do everything again.
If i restart from the cd it doesn't give me the option to choose between NTFS/FAT quick/slow as it did before.
How can I install using FAT now? Is it possible or i have to reinstall everything again? :S
Thanks!

My working XP install is running on FAT32 with no problems whatsoever. An added bonus is that my OS X install has full read/write access to my XP partition, so I can download drivers and whatnot from OS X and install them later from within XP.

Hmm...you may be able to get away with deleting the partition in Windows Setup and re-creating it as FAT32, but you run the risk of borking your OS X partition in the process. Of course, the alternative is re-partitioning the drive using Disk Utility, which would definitely eradicate OS X.
Proceed at your own risk, and let us know how the install goes.

i came across this suggestion on another board, someone made a torrent for the xp sp2 disk that already has the things that need changing.
