Can't get more disk space supposedly

I deleted some big programs and some big files on xp side but I'm not getting too much more diskspace so it says? Is there any way to really see how much disk space on the windows side I have?

Are you deleting them in OS X or Windows? I recommend deleting any files on a FAT32 partition within XP, it can get pretty angry when you don't (want's to scan the whole drive for errors). If you are deleting them in Windows, have you emptied the Recycle Bin? I know that sounds obvious, but hey, I'm just trying to help. Windows doesn't actually free up any space until the Recycle Bin is emptied. You can easily check how much space is on a drive by selecting that drive in My Computer (it should appear on the left). Alternatively, you can right-click on the drive and go to properties.
