Has anyone got video drivers for the 17"MacBook Pro to work ?

I have installed XPSP2 and when i install the bootcamp windows drivers my display just goes black once XP has finished booting up (basically once its finished the windows boot splash i see my mouse cursor for a second then my screen goes black) i tried unistalling the bootcamp video drivers and removed them completely then installed the latests omega cat drivers this booted fine and i could choose the native resolution but it would BSOD every timne i launched a game of anykind and somtimes if i move windows around on my desktop quickly it will BSOD.

i tried fn+f2 to see if its a brightness issue but that doesnt work

on my first 15"macbook Pro i had no problems at all with bootcamp kinda wish id kept that now.

my specs are
17' MacBook Pro
100GB 7200rpm HDD
2GB RAM
Glossy Screen

i have been trying to find out if the Glossy screen is the issue, i just wondered if the standard monitor driver does not work with the glossy screen ... i know its a long shot

if anyone has got it all working it would be good to know if its a glossy screen model or normal screen and what revision.

Cheers

have you tried the same drivers cd as you had when installing on your 15" macbook pro? I am not sure about this, but apple has some new drivers (for the 17" and the macbooks) with bootcamp. try to download the newest version of bootcamp (bootcamp102.dmg) and burn the drivers cd again. it might solve your problem. don't forget to use a slow burning speed as fast cd burning might give a bad cd...

hope this helps and just give a short feedback wether it solved your problem or not.

i burnt a new cd using the BC1.01 beta from the 17"

i have just started again using the 1.02 beta and in the middle of installing windows (just after it has loaded all the files and reboots i see the windows splash then it just freezes so no joy there ether .. i have deleted the partition and started again a cople of times and still get the same once the install reboots it just freezes.

luckily or not my macbook pro is now called a Ma Book Pro as the c has fallen off so apple are sending me a new 17" and this one is going back ...i just hope that this one is a dodgy build and th enew one will work without a problem.
