Has anyone tried this yet? That's the only version I have a license for (and I have an original SP2 disc).

You need to have everything on the same CD or DVD, because you do not have eject button worink during installation.
Maybe this can help: http://forum.onmac.net/showthread.php?t=169 and http://forum.onmac.net/showthread.php?t=122
BTW, I think OEM is licensed for only the computer bought toghether.

I have tried several methods with oem, problem is that the files you copy are from an oem disc with a different label..mine happens to be hp_restore_cd. Even though you burn all the files it does not recognize this disc as an authentic xp sp2 disc....this is my guess! !

Hmm... it seems that the fault perhaps is not with the HOME edition then, but rather with it being an OEM disc.
Btw, I bought the disc off Ebay with a computer part. Only for Vista have Microsoft changed the OEM license to be attached to a specific motherboard.
Ok, hopefully they will fix the solution to include OEM discs soon.
PS. My label is VRMHOEM_EN and I have the same files as mentioned in that OEM thread linked above.

There seems to be mixed responses to this. Could we perhaps get some definite results on which versions of win xp sp2 work and sticky the thread.
