ok, try this:
Download PTEDIT32.ZIP to your desktop and run the .exe file.
ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/tools/pq/utilities/PTEDIT32.zip
In the "Type" field for disk 3, change what is there to 0B and then reboot.
Hope this helps

Hello,
I am getting an error when I try to run ptedit32: "Error #5 when starting PowerQuest Engine." I've tried downloading it from various places but all copies report the same error. I'm running Vista now, and I had the same problem in XP (and I never did get XP to recognise the shared FAT32 partition), but I'd lke to finally get it working. Is there any other way to modify the partition table (say, via the command line)? Thanks very much for any help.
