Updataed the drivers last night and have noted the following:
MacBook Pro will still lock up or attempt a reboot when manually launching the "brightness.exe" command to control the LCD brightness. I can also get the same effect by trying to use the F1 or F2 key to increase or lower the brightness. This is still a major showstopper for me and I am now to the point of assuming it may just be my machine/drivers as not many others seem to notice it. However when it does occur, most times Windows will come back in safe mode and from my experience I don't like seeing this over and over, makes for a very unstable load IMO.
Not sure what the USB Modem is, as from what I can tell the Pro has no modem installed. Is this a option you can buy? When I look at device manager I don't see any entry for a modem.
Still have the PCI unknown devce, and still assume it's some sort of monitoring tie in back to Intel that Apple hasn't really worked on yet.
Mouse, interesing to note, that they fianlly added the "disable mouse while typing" feature but it doesn't seem to work on my machine. However the mouse now will freeze or start acting wierd after the machine is up for a while. I usually can get this to stop by clicking a few times or just moving around on the track pad very fast. The mose seems to also have a bit more presision when working with icons and the like. As someone else pointed out, it's like the mouse is getting confused with scolling. I tried to turn off scrolling and see if that fixed the problem, but so far no.
Curious just how much testing Apple does on these updates.
