it would be great if you could post it to the wiki and mark it as in testing...

Is the intel integrated graphics in the mini also UGA? That seems to be the pitfall of the MBP and imac stuff. Ill send you a message later, Im willing to try the fix out but I wont be home till later this evening.

I'm not sure why you think Intel graphics drivers will work for a Radeon X1600 card?

when did i say they would? what i think is the radeon drivers will work if installed the same way i installed the intel drivers.

You want people to call you, IM you or email you for the instructions??!! Why cant you just simply post the instructions to the message board like other people? It just seems rather odd to me on how cryptic you have been in your previous posts. Also, if it in fact does work, why does it work? I mean, do you have a theory on why your method works? How do the WinXP drivers communicate with the hardware? I would really like to see some more information and your thoughts on it, AND how you did it, as I'm sure A LOT of others would too.

Cheers!

It's doubtful that the method will work, but it won't hurt anything to try. I find the way it works on Mac Mini's very odd as well, so who knows.

I for sure agree that it's worth a try. I just don't understand why thebalaa can not post the instructions to the board. He seems insistent on people calling, IM'ing, emailing or for him to VNC to their machines. I'm just confused as to why he can not just post the freaking instructions to the web site! Furthermore, I would like to see the instructions because it would give us a clue as to why it worked for the Mini, and thus being able to figure out a way to get it to work on all the new Intel Macs. (ie: I don't care HOW he did it, but rather I want to know WHY it works, so that it can be applied to all of the new Intel Mac's, not just the Mini.)
Cheers!

Balaa posted his step-by-step instructions for the Mini a few hours ago in another thread:
http://forum.onmac.net/showpost.php?p=1385&postcount=97

I haven't validated them but its a helpful start toward testing if the same steps will work with any ATI drivers for the MBP.

@ Balaa: Thanks for getting these up on the forum.

P.S. Wow, Balaa is an Administrator here? I had no idea - or sud0n1m let him VNC into his system... (just kidding, I couldn't resist) ;)
