I don't know why but for some reason i feel the need to rant on a forum at 1:30 in the morning...this experience has been very painful so far. (if you don't want to hear someone whine about something very frivolous and stupid don't feel the need to read.)
so last sunday I ordered my macbook from macmall, after 2 days of seeing nothing but "in process" and having paid for 2 day air shipping i decided to see what the dilio was.
So I eventually figure out through internet searches that sometimes they need a credit card verification (my home phone was down) and after searching through spam i finally find the number i need to call. I make the phone call (tuesday) and the woman says everything is a-ok. I should recieve a confirmation email with shipping #s etc soon. another day goes by and nothing happens, i call again to find out that the credit card didn't go through...(probably the most helpful call). once again i don't recieve confirmation...huh...so i call again on thursday and finally after having a disjointed conversation get the darn thing straightened out.
I look at the order friday morning, and huzzah! shipped at 2 am. if i'm lucky with that two day shipping i should have the package on sat right? probably just as likely i'll have it monday as it is shipping from TN to NM and it didn't technically ship on thursday...you know how that goes right? to my excitement, i check stats at 6 pm on friday, a 16 hour difference. what do you know? UPS is fast, they manage to get my package from TN to Abq NM in less than 24 hours. two day shipping isn't bad, it would be really unreasonable if i didn't recieve my package on saturday seeing as they ussually make rounds from Abq to Santa Fe at least once a day (probably two or three times) and its really only a 60 mile difference...but then something catches my eye...."on time with scheduled delivery date" and what is that date? Dec. 5th...er, ~4 (5 if you count sunday but you shouldn't really) shipping days est when its within 100m of myself after the first 16 hours and i payed for 2 day shipping? I will be very disapointed if it takes as long as their projection....i have my fingers crossed.
