A Short Survey on 3D Modeling

Hi there, ladies and gents. My name's Kenneth Yu, and I'm a student from De La Salle University-Manila, in the Philippines. I'm currently working on a very simple research paper on 3D modeling as an art form, and, as part of the requirements of the completion of the paper, I need to conduct a short survey. My apologies in advance if the survey questions are too simple, or broad; though 3D modeling interests me greatly, I really haven't had much of an opportunity to study it, outside of the research I've done for the paper. (Ironically, I'm not even in a computer related course; I'm actually a business major). I imagined that if there would be any place to find dependable, respectable sources of information, this would be a good place to look.
I hope I'm not taking up too much of your time in posting this, and I'd like to ask your help, if you're not too busy.
