Hi guys,

I have Windows running on MacBook Pro, and its running very well aside from the video driver problem. But when i shutdown windows xp, it freezes. Am I the only one with this problem, or all of you guys having this problem.

Is there any solution?

Sorry in advance if this issue already been addressed in other thread.

Thanks

This problem is global. Some were saying that if you map a delete key with Keyremapper.exe and join an NT domain. This, as far as I understand, does not work and there is no solution currently.

I have an iMac 20" and when I choose Restart, the computer freezes when it reaches the "Windows is Shutting Down..." stage. However, if I choose Shut Down, then it turns off.

Same here with a Mac Mini Duo Core.

On MBP, using the power button to shutdown seems to work well, no hang.

Well, either i choose Restart or Shutdown, it always hangs at "Shutting down windows" part. Then i have to manually shut it off. Well if other people are having the same problem, then i dont have to worry too much, i thought maybe i messed up during the Installation part.

I have been logging out of windows, and then just hitting the power button to shut down.

I've got the same problem. I was about to start over and try something new, but I guess other people are having the same problem. Is anyone able to shut down correctly on the mbp 20ghz?

I have the same problem on the 1.83 MBP. I think it is universal on the laptops. On one of the systems you can shutdown, but not restart. No biggie really, as XP doesn't think that it has shutdown incorrectly. The pain is that it doesn't remember your changes on the next boot unless you make changes to the registry.

I had the same experience, but I can shutdown now. I can't say it had anything to do with joining a Domain as I didn't try shutting down before I joined one, but I did notice that I could successfully shutdown after I joined one. Restart doesn't work though. I have a MBP 2GHz.

Follow the instructions for removing the pagefile at shutdown here:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314834

Works ALL THE TIME for everyone whose tried it..

The only issue is... SHUTDOWN, dont restart.

Does not work on restart...

However, full shutdown is better than nothing...

On my Mac Mini Dual Core shutdown has always worked without any change.

Startup doesn't. It's actually strange because once I restart, after while the power diode in the front turns off, but the Mac Mini is still somehow running with the frozen screen.
