i had my system all set up, running both osx and xp. now when i reboot, i see the ?folder icon that used to be followed the apple/windows selector...but now, it turns directly into the greyscale apple logo and starts booting osx. no more option to select windows.

anyone have a clue what's happening?

If the boot record has reverted, you might want to try 'reblessing' the xom.efi file in Mac OS X.

Hmmm... Might have ben an OSX update? I know iMac users have to rebless the XOM.EFI file when they upgrade from 10.4.4 to 10.4.5.

This will probably happen fairly often with OSX updates. Not the end of the world, but a little scary when you first see it.

Just a thought

Same thing happened to me when I applied the 10.4.5 update. Re-blessing xom.efi worked!
