Alright, heres my question.

At work, we use windows 2000. Some use their own laptops, but regardless of the fact that they are on windows xp, they HAVE to use this program called Citrix. ( www.citrix.com ). I see they have a Mac OSX version, but i am not sure if that program will run win 2000. Will it? im confused on that, i just need that program to work, and if it works on mac, i am set...

but heres my other alternative.. cant i just buy a USB or firewire hard drive and install win2000 or xp on it, then run it on a macbook?

Let me know if any of these two can be done. Thank you very much.

citrix is something else entirely...its microsoft remote desktop on steriods (think vnc)....its a way to transport a windows session from a windows server to another computer over a network...kinda like a tv remote control w. video .... if you already have win xp computer you can just use the builtin remote desktop sharing and download a free mac client from microsoft.com.......citrix is complete overkill for you

as for the buying an external drive, skim thru the other posts on this forum about the subject...the problems have been explained in gory details already
