Sorry about the caps but, here we go...

Did the install on a macbook pro and it worked fine. Hit the power button when in windows mode and it said shutting down so left the house. Came back next day and it was frozen at the same screen so now I held the power button down till it turned off. Came back to the computer later and went to turn it on and when i do there is no boot chime, the light on the front turns on but, the display is dead, and there is a cd in the dive (just drivers not the win cd and it spins up and spins down. The computer acts like its asleep. Tried rebooting while holding down the eject key and while holding down F2 but, nothing. What the hell happened????

Had you been trying to use the EFI shell/menus anytime (like Intel EFI sample implementation, or rEFIt)?

It sounds like you somehow bricked your Mac. Installing xom.efi does not change your firmware, by the way.

In order to eject the cd you can hold down the mouse key while rebooting. Once you get the cd out it may not look for a boot on the cd.

Well i only installed xom.efi but, didn't use refit or anything else.

Also I tried to get the cd out by holding down the cd button, holding down the mouse button, and pressing F2 and nothing seems to make a difference.

"Important system recovery instructions: Thanks to a commentor and Dave Schroeder's testing, I am able to give you this information for restoring your iMac should it refuse to power on. Unplug your iMac and wait 10 seconds. Hold down the power button as you plug it back in."

And with the intel macs there is no way to boot into open firmware...

Try holding F12 to eject the CD. If it was dead RAM, you would get a flashing light and a three audible tones. Try hooking the MBP to an external monitor and see if that works...

MacBook Pro reset the PMU: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303319

1. If the computer is on, turn it off.
2. Disconnect the AC Adapter and remove the computer's battery.
3. Press and hold down the power button for 5 seconds and then release the button.
4. Reconnect the battery and AC Adapter.
5. Press the Power button to restart the computer.
