And here us the official release forum...

The new release of Parallels Build 3150 RC2 pretty much seamlessly integrates Windows into MacOSX... there are a few things which still need some updating, but all in all Parallels have made changes directly from user input... imagine that! Apologies, but i had to cut out my name and various documents names etc.
I haven't had a chance to test 3D applications through this latest version, so i am hoping others have more time, well... if you do, please let us know! And ofcourse any other tests which help us people who actually have to do work... so why am i doing this then *gets back to work* :)

P.S - This is no joke... this is actually real, the taskbar may look a little square, but hey... it's in the MacOSX desktop!! Cool :)

As far as I know, they haven't implemented 3d graphics support yet, but it is very soon to come (http://www.macnn.com/articles/06/08/08/parallels.desktop.for.mac/)! Coherence really rocks!!! A Musthave for those who need windows on their Macs!

Well,Parallels (http://www.parallels.com)is RC2 already, and the VMWare product is still in betas. As far as I know it is not so popular, and on top of all there's no Coherence mode there:)

I guess everything is a matter of perspective: I'm a multi-platform user, and I've known about VMWare for years, but the first I'd ever heard of Parallels was shortly after Apple switched to Intel. So your suggestion that VMWare isn't so popular might well be true of existing and legacy Macintosh users -- but VMWare has been the name in virtualization for many Windows and *nix users, so switchers and multi-platform users are more likely to wait for VMWare to go final before making a purchasing decision based upon name brand recognition, rather then test the waters of an entirely unknown product. Based upon the statistics that Apple has been throwing around lately, the switcher crowd amounts to a fair number of users... So I'd have to say it's still anybody's game.

In fact, I really meant that Parallels is more close to Mac users than VMware. I know that this company has been into virtualization for a long time, but still more Mac users tend to use Parallels - it has been more popular than Fusion so far...
