If you read my post on the previous thread, I'd been having system lockups when burning a DVD with Nero through DVDSHRINK.
Fixed the problem, after SEVERAL COASTERS.
Basically, it's a crappy fix... and I'd welcome any ideas... but here goes.
In Device Manager, right click on the ATA Buses, and force PIO mode (data transfer) instead of DMA mode.
Took over an HOUR to burn a 5.7 Gig DVD... but it did it clean, and worked perfectly on my set top DVD player.
So... hope this helps.
