Let's face it, on the MBA, it's gonna be horrible.

If you are looking for a gaming Mac keep away from Air.
Maybe the most expensive configuration of MacbookAir will run a few games.
I'm not sure if virtualization is possible on that computer, and you are talking about gaming!:)
Taking into consideration the fact that it has 2 Gigs of RAM I assume Parallels will work well with XP. But I'm a bit embarrassed with only single USB port
