View Full Version : Stuck at console

I've had XOM installed for two days and it has worked great..now when I boot into Windows I just get a prompt at console. (edit: see attached pic).

The only way I have been able to resolve this is to completely zero out my drive via Disk Utility and then repartion and do everything again. But this problem has come up twice today...any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

This is on a 17" Intel iMac AND A Core Duo Mini. At first I thought this was associated with drivers, as the problem came up after the wireless drivers were installed on the iMac. The Mini had no drivers installed at all...and I have tried the F4 F7 resolution trick to no avail. (though it DID help with the intial install of XP)

(Sorry for the pic quality, it was taken from the built in iSight of the iMac)

Im having the same problem with my install.I can reboot a few times into xp then it fails.I get that black screen. Is there some sort of text we can enter to boot into windows.

What version of xp are you using?

Did you create the xp slipstream disc your self or is it a torrent?

Also how do you post a new topic in these forums

Thanx

I am using an imac 17"

Hi,
I think there is a topic about this already.
Do you tried to press "g" two times ?
I had the same problem and this helped for me.

"G" worked once or twice on the iMac, but on both machines now it just pops up a few extra lines of text and does nothing after that.

This is with a legit copy of XP Pro SP2 OEM.
