Hold down the option key, and you'll get a boot menu from which you can select either Windows or MacOS X. Once you're in MacOS X, you can change the default boot volume back to MacOS X (if you prefer) by going to the Startup Disk Preference Pane.
Also, you're going to want to make sure that you install the Windows drivers from the MacOS X Installation DVD; just insert it while you're running Windows and the setup tool should auto-run. These drivers will do three things in particular for you:
* They'll give you a new control panel in Windows from which mirrors the functionality of the Startup Disk Preference Pane,
* they'll ensure that your video drivers are installed correctly, so that your games can take full advantage of your system, and
* they'll make your network cards operational, so that you can (hopefully) get online using the following...
Once the drivers are fully installed: To make Windows work with your internet connection, you're going to need to go to the Network Preference Pane on the MacOS X side, and mirror whatever your connection information is there over to Windows. This means that if you're using Ethernet to connect, then you'll need to copy the info out of the section marked "Built-in Ethernet". And if you're using a wireless router, then youre going to need to figure out your wireless network name and password, and configure Windows appropriately. (If you've had a Verizon wireless internet router installed quite recently, then this information may actually be on a little sticker on the internet router itself.)
