I abhor WinXP and have no need for it. Any possibility of getting Win2k to install using the same mechanisms? Or am I stuck having to use XP on a MacIntel?

Why? Is it the interface? If so, enable the Windows Classic theme. Is it stability? With SP2, XP is at least as stable as 2000. Performance? Disable eye-candy. I can't see a compelling reason to like 2000 over XP SP2, though I am interested as to your take on it (maybe you can convince me).

for me it would be because the only windows cd i own is win 2000 professional w/ sp2 and im not really interested in buying xp for $199 at staples just so i could experiment w/ running it on a macbook
Im also just more familiar with win2k. In virtual pc, the os that runs the best is 2000

It's doable, but you need to make a new CD that uses the NTDETECT.COM from Windows XP and press F5 at the press F6 for 3rd party RAID driver or whatever

Won't Win2000 work in Parallels or BootCamp. Why don't install it like this if you dislike XP?
