View Full Version : Installation ok but WinXP does not boot [error 2000:0711]

I've installed XP successfully but when I try to boot into WinXP i get this error:
http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/8956/xomerror2zs.th.jpg (http://img122.imageshack.us/my.php?image=xomerror2zs.jpg)
(in the picture I've unsuccessfully tried a few command to try to restart my Mac without pushing for 5 secs the start button; where can I find a list of commands for XOM?)

Maybe I *must* use the Mac Mini XOM file to boot up into XP?
But... why I got it working for the installation process and it doesn't work for booting into XP?

I'm using a Mac mini and a slipped XP Pro SP2 Italian Corporate CD (using the right TXTSETUP.SIF file for my config).

TIA

PS: as you can see in the picture I've unsuccessfully tried a few command to try to restart my Mac without pushing for 5 secs the start button; where can I find a list of commands for XOM?

I've used the Mac mini XOM file (downloaded from this forum) too but I always get the same error; any idea?

TIA

Try g (for go). Might have to do several.

That worked for me after an Install 'broke' the startup.

g - enter that is.

You where right: I had to hit g, enter, g, enter.... and than XP booted up fine.

Thanks ;)
