Hi,

anybody happen to know, how to get to the login window, if one does not have an external keyboard, that sports a "del"-key?

Thanks,
Budy

from wiki:
4 After installing, go to Start: Run. Enter remapkey. A nice GUI utility pops up to let you remap keys on your keyboard. You can use it to remap the delete key. I recommend using the Right Windows key (Right Command on MacBook Pro keyboards). After saving, reboot and you'll be able to use Ctrl-Alt-(Right Command) to do a Ctrl-Alt-Delete and logon to Windows domains and other useful things.

In Windows XP normally (i.e. not installed on a mac) I know that you can use Windowskey+U to bring up the utility manager. From there you can open the On Screen Keyboard and CTRL-ALT-DEL using that. Not pretty, but sometimes it's the only option :)

Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to try this myself without an Intel mac and I don't know about the issue of not having a Windows key - I assume that the command key works as the Windows key by default?

Hi guys,

thanks for your tipps. I have figured out that you can, once you get logged in into XP, go to the user manager and uncheck the advanced security setting, that causes the pre-login screen to appear. Thus you get right to the login dialog and you will be able to enter your credentials right away.

Cheers,
