View Full Version : Any idea how to add at least one more partition?

One for OSX and one for Intel is not enaugh for me.
I want at least one (FAT32) more for simple data exchange etc. pp.
I think the problem is just that Apple in typical teachers attitude let
us not do want we want in Bootcamp and for no thinkable reason
only makes a PC partition if only one OSX partition exists.
Any solution to go around this?
(or must I risk my installation trying somethin lile Partitionmagic?)

Why not using MacDrive. I use it that way, and works fine enough.

even i am interested in having a third partiion a fat 32 where i can store all my data like music and pictures and using apps to access them from both drives... At this moment i am using a external drive for all that stuff... so its kinda ok. somebody tried using ipartition or partition magic in windows...?

See numerous other threads - in a nutshell, do not use any partitioning tools except Apple's Disk Utility and diskutil (command-line version). Anything else WILL destroy your drive.
For your case, take a look at the man page for diskutil; specifically the section on "resizeVolume". Pay close attention to the syntax, as it is very, very odd.
