Hi everyone! I just got a MBP 2.0ghz yesterday. Boot Camp installed fine, Windows installed fine. The drivers are almost all good, but there's no sound device at all even though some SigmaTel drivers appear to be installed. I reinstalled the Apple driver disc, no changes (except now I have bluetooth apparently). I downloaded and installed the "alternate" audio drivers from the Wiki, to no avail. It installed fine, reboots, and says, "This system does not support the driver you are attempting to install."

Has anyone else had any problems with this? In device manager there are 5 "exclamation marked" problem drivers: 1 USB Human Interface Device (which I assume is the iSight camera), a PCI Device (which is probably the audio), 2 "Unknown devices" (keyboard backlight and motion sensor, maybe) and 1 PCI device under "System devices."

Thanks in advance for any insight!

OK, I actually fixed this by going to driver properties for the "PCI Device" under System devices and doing the "Reinstall driver" wizard, which just found the drivers and installed them. Oddly simple, I'm not sure why it didn't work in the first place.

The internal speakers don't work, and I can't tell what is normal for the drivers. I'm not quite sure which drivers I actually have (the "official" Apple drivers or the ones I downloaded from Intel) if they are even different. In any case, does anyone know anything about the internal speakers?

yay!

(apples have external sound no matter what, intel has internal sound no matter what)
