View Full Version : Keyboard problems when playing games

iMac 17" Core Duo 1.83Ghz
Boot Camp - Windows XP Professional Corporate with SP2

Using the iMacs wired keyboard and mouse, I have found that the keyboard will 'lock up'. For example, the caps lock key will turn on, and cannot be turned off, and pressing a key does nothing. Or a key event is sent repeatedly, even though no key is physically pressed. To fix this problem, I have to unplug the keyboard and plug it back in again.

When playing games, e.g. Call of Duty 2, FEAR, the problem has a high chance of occurring when a game level has just loaded or restarted, and the 3D action has just started.

The Apple drivers have been installed, and the keyboard exhibits no problems in Mac OS X or in normal non-game operation in XP.

Has anybody else experienced this?
