Hi guys,

I am the new owner of a MacBook Pro 2.16.

Needless to say, a very happy owner :p

I am dual booting with bootcamp, and using my MBP's Swiss French keyboard.

When typing text in Word, or even in Outlook I seem to be "missing" a couple of keys.

For example:

To type in an @ I need to hold both ctrl and alt (for alt-gr) then 2. This is "normal". (works in Excel, Powerpoint, Access, and pretty much everything else)

With Word though, I get nothing.
With a new Outlook email (address field or body) I get nothing, but I get the character if I create a new Outlook appointment...

Any thoughts?

Tia,

Have you tried using the ASCII code for the @ symbol?

&#64

I think that you have to press and hold down the ALT key and then type in the code.

The ascii code works, but it is not very practical.

What surprises me is that while not working with PPT and Word, it works with pretty much everything else I have seen thus far...
