Hey guys, quick question.

I've read arround and discovered that Windows NT was able to run on the PowerPC chip. Would it be possible to dual-boot Windows NT on a Powerbook? Or even better, is there any virtulazation software that you could run NT right in OS X? Or...would it be possible to install the PowerPC version of NT through Virtual PC and would it be faster?

Thanks!

I can't imagine there would be any drivers for Windows NT on a PowerBook. I mean, we're talking technology that's something like a decade old.

It appears that you can install NT on Virtual PC for PCs, but no indication that Virtual PC for mac can run it. However, I don't necessarily see any reason why you couldn't. I highly doubt running the PPC NT through Virtual PC would get you a performance gain, in fact, it's possible it could be a performance hit.

With all due respect, why on earth would you want to do this!? Even if any of this is possible in theory, it couldn't be anything other than a nightmare.

In his defense, if I remember correctly, Windows NT gives you the best bang for your CPU cycle and RAM usage even when compared against newer Windows* OSs.

*I don't think this was tested against Linux distros or OS X...
