i don't know if this has been adressed before (i certainly can't find it).

sometimes while booted into xp, my mac mini doesn't recognize the keyboard (as in the computer acts like i pulled the keyboard out of the usb). actually pulling it out and putting it back in solves the problem, but its annoying since it happens every 30 min or so. why is this happening?

also, sometimes when i restart or shut down xp, it gives me a blue screen of death and restarts. the screen only flashes for about a second, so i can't really read it. it doesn't seem to affect the functioning the the computer at all - i mean, it doesn't give me a blue screen of death while running programs - just when i shut down or restart the computer... what is going on here?

lastly, the refresh rate is fixed at 60 for fullscreen games, but i can't find a fix, since all the fixes are written for ati or nvidia cards, not intel 945s.

If I recall correctly, XP does not like keyboards to be plugged into hubs. It is a quirk of the OS. Plug the keyboard directly into the computer.

surprisingly, this happened to me for the first time yesterday....but I had my directly hooked up to the computer. The really weird thing was that when it happened, it had looked like my computer had stopped responding. When it finally came back I had lost keyboard control, but I could still use my mouse. The weird thing about this, is that my mouse is hooked up to the usb port on the keyboard. I was able to solve it though, by unplugging and replugging in my keyboard like above. So I don't know whats up, because something of my keyboard was still talking to the computer since it was relaying my mouse information.
