I'm no Linux maverick, but just because I can, I tried Gororaa Linux and the Kororaa Xgl Live CD. Gororaa wasn't even recognized as a bootable disk. The Xgl Live CD was. The Xgl Live CD starts to boot, then it tries to initialize the X server and fails. I believe this is the same problem that happened when I tried the Live CD of Ubuntu (the regular PC disk.)
Any idea? I guessed that it's because there's no driver for the x1600 on linux (at least until very recently)
I think I'm just going to download the Ubuntu boot disc that was made for Intel Macs, and use the PC kernal since I've updated my firmware, I hear the other one doesn't work.
