Hello,

I've been sifting through threads here trying to find someone with the same issue as me but I can't seem to.

I have a MBP 2.0, OSX 10.4.6, and Boot Camp w/ XP SP2

When I first installed Boot Camp, I upgraded to Firmware 1.0. A few days later my MBP completely died (no power at all) and had to be sent back for repair.

When I got it back, the firmware was downgraded and the Windows XP partition does not show up when I hold down Alt, but it's still there becaise it shows up in OSX with all the data in it. If I try to switch my default startup partition to Windows XP in Sys Pref, when I reboot it says "No bootable device".

My question is how can I fix the WinXP partition so it shows up when pressing Alt and boots again? Without repartitioning and installing XP

Did you upgrade the firmware to 1.0.1 ?

Yep - now im running 1.0.1 but still the XP partition does not come up as bootable. There's got to be a way to make it bootable again so it functions correctly

Couple of ideas:

1. Open the startup disk panel in system preferences and select Windows XP

2. Install ReFit (http://refit.sourceforge.net/) and see if it will recognize the bootable Windows partition.
