I am having this exact issue any help would be appreciated.
the wiki says the driver works for all models, so i assume this has been tested.

From the Wiki (http://wiki.onmac.net/):
"Right-click the device in device manager and manually choose a driver to install. Click have disk and point to C:\drivers\win\wllanath\winxp_2k, then select the driver: 11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Express Adapter."

I've followed the instructions on the wiki to the letter, but Windows does not want to recognize the driver as belonging to that piece of hardware. I've tried it with every unknown device in my hardware list

Same problem here. The Lenovo/IBM drivers *do not* work with my MacBook Pro wireless; neither network interface accepts the drivers as valid.

You have to go in the back door: Choose "I will select the drivers to install", then choose "network adapters" then after that screen, choose "have disk", and point to your c:\drivers\win\wllanath\winxp_2K. Then click Next.
Worked for me after encountering the same issues. Check page 2 of the Drivers thread on the osx86project.org forums if you still have questions.

I think some people (including myself) were expecting the normal manual driver installation process to work.
So for people who are still having this issue:
- Select the Ethernet Controller representing the wireless card under Other devices in Device Manager (if you haven't yet installed drivers for the wired ethernet, you'll see two, and the wireless card should be the second one), and go into Properties.
- Select Update Driver... on the Driver tab
- Select "No" when prompted to connect to the internet
- Select "Install from a specific location"
- Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install"
- Select "Network Adapter"
- Click "Have Disk"
- Enter the path: C:\drivers\WIN\WLLANATH\WINXP_2K
- Select the 802.11a/b/g Mini PCI Express drivers (the MacBook Pro contains an Atheros 5424 wireless chipset, which is an 802.11a/b/g chipset)
- Your wireless should now be active.

You have to install the setup file in the Drivers folder after the first setup before this will work.
