Hi all,

I'm a new macbook pro owner and I want to remove the dual boot functionallity of my laptop.

Can I do this without reformatting the HD?

Can I just delete the windows partition?

Thanks!
Joseph

Sure Joseph, it's actually really easy. Just launch Boot Camp in OS X (if you can't find it, just type it in to Spotlight) and then click on the "Restore the startup disk to a single volume, click "Continue", "OK", and then "Restore" when you get to the next window. You'll have to reboot, but then your Windows partition will be no more (the data is still there, but the partition is gone, so OS X will write over it as you fill your hard drive).

I've done this a couple times, but once it didn't work on the first try. You might want to run the Boot Camp Assistant again when you reboot to make sure the second partition is really gone.

sounds easy enough!

Thanks!

I'll try it tonight!
