when at home i'm almost always connected to work via vpn (cisco client). in xp while i can pull an ip address from my router i cannot ping anything including the router. this is somewhat expected behavior as we don't use split tunneling so i can't ping the router from osx either. however, it would be nice if i could use the internet and get to work resources in xp while still connected to the vpn in osx. the only way it works is if i disconnect from the vpn in osx and the reconnect the vpn in xp.

anyone else try this scenario and get it to work?

thanks

Hi I’m also using CISCO VPN inside Vmware workstation without any problem.
I will tray the Paralles to do the same.
This should work if you use the bridge mode.

Cisco VPN is working fine on guest Paralles client.

Host: Windows XP

Don't think Chak got the prob. I notice the same behavior: VPN inside Parallels running XP works fine - VPN outside Parallels on Mac OS X doesn't work, the XP session inside Parallels I think is still bridged to the Mac OS X network connection (be it wireless or wired), but not to the psuedo-interface created by the VPN client. This effectively disables the networking inside Parallels. Maybe if you connect via VPN, then configure the Parallels network connection to use the VPN pseudo-interface? Not sure it has the flexibility to do this...
