its the same process as for XP, but with a couple of changes
1) you need the modified TXTSETUP.SIF file
2) you need a different VGA.SY_ file
3) you may or may not need the updated XOM from blanka (need to ask him if this is the case or not)
after that, its the same procedure
i will try to get all the files posted up soon, if anyone wants them!

Let me see if I got this.
I should use the xom.efi included in this zip.
This should work with any version of Win 2003 server: enterprise, web serverm, advanced and such. Or is it restricted to the standard version?
Is the F6/enter trick needed, or it should be a straightforward boot untiln setup begins?
Thank a lot for this help. I'd really like to get 2003 on my mini.
Note: I'm using a mac intel mini solo with 60Gb hd.

So in theory, Windows Small Buisiness Server 2003 should be runnable on a mac mini duo? the only issue then will be suitable drivers for it... Can anyone who has given server 2003 a try confirm what 2003 drivers run? The essentials would obviously be chipset and Network, with wireless, video, sound being a convenient extra.
My plan would be to buy in an build up a couple of mac mini's as highly portable low strain servers - core duo's with min. 1gig of ram ideally, to be used as either:-
1) Easily transportable demo SBS 2003servers for potential customer site visits.
2) "Drop and go" emergency backup servers for customers, enough to get basic network functionality and secure net access together (a second network port would have been handy! - still, plenty of usb network devices out there)
3) Dedicated command line game servers and "emergency infrastructure (DHCP etc)" for all the LANpartys I go to and end up fixing stuff at!

network works fine, chipset works fine, wireless i couldnt even get to work under XP...im not sure what the deal is there...but video i havent tried with any of the newer solutions, so it may work, but may not
im running it on duo with 2gb ram, runs really fast

Thanks, I think I may just give it a try!
One last question - does remote access via terminal services work okay, i.e. can you use remote desktop to access the machine? If so, the video drivers arent even required tbh :D
Cheers,

So the xom.efi is the same version as the one for the mini....available in teh forums...the vga.sy_ is the one from teh XP patch? Or another?
I would like to know so I can create a custom slipstream creater as part of the xomhelper, but I do not want to double up files where not needed....I am wandering if the only real difference is the SIF file....

I'm trying to download that zip file but the forum keeps telling me I have no access to it. I've registered and logged in so I don't know what gives...

Ok, I have Enterprise edition and I've followed all the directions step by step... my mini solo hangs up when trying to boot off the CD. The part where the instructions say that it should take around 3 minutes to start the installation -- it just stops there. Last message on the screen is
2000:0EEE: int 13_40
Stays there forever... Any ideas anyone?
