I was using my sweet little MBP 17" without a problem except a little heat when I was playing. I had a score of 6900 when I ran 3DMARK03, until I downloaded AtiTool! I wish I never had. First I overclocked the core and then started to do the same on memory. before overclocking the core default was set to 425 and memory to 450. after overclocking core 470 and memory did not change. during the process the fans were exploding! the heat was not much though. But when I restarted my computer and tried to run 3DMARK03 again the result was shocking. It was dropped to 2000!!! I wanted to cry. :'(
Anyway after the test I ran AtiTool again and the default had changed. The core was set to 130 and memory to 200! This time I crieddddd! I tried to load the old defaults and my screen started to flick and I got some lines and other stuff on my screen then computer hanged just like myself.
Well guys, I guess my request is pretty much clear. I want to de-overclock my X1600 and get it back to how it was before. I'll try to solve the problem by re-installing the drivers or... and will post if successful.
Any help is appreciated by the way.
Hope you don't get this problem!
Cheers,
SHMD
