So far as far as forums go, nobody has successfully got Vista build 5384.4 (beta 2) to work on an intel mac partitioned using boot camp, ONLY if the drive is completely formatted using the vista or xp disk and losing the OS X partition. Otherwise, it just Blue Screens with UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME. Has anyone got past this problem yet?

yea ... I am using my iMac and im using Vista right now!

I followed some website ... but i can tell u ... u need to get rid of ur EFI portion )which is 199mb or 200mb it might how up either one ... then install where u told Mac osx to partion "xp".

Note: with the EFI partion removed you can't do anymore Firmware updates!

I'm using it. You just have to delete the EFI partition during setup and then "fix" the install after you finish. I followed the instructions given on Hans Verbeek's website: https://blogs.msdn.com/hans_vb/archive/2006/06/02/614799.aspx

It works for the most part, but some of the workarounds people use on XP don't work on vista - Input Remapper being the most notable. A bit trickier getting the soundcard to work as well. Vista's great though - it performs extremely well on the MBP, even with the Aero UI running.
