Keyboard & Mouse lockup

I'm trying to dual boot on an intel Mini Mac. I'm using a PC USB Keyboard and Mouse cause I don't have any Apple keyboard/mouse available. The problem I am running into is after installing Windows XP. I try to run the Drivers CD created with Bootcamp and the mouse/keyboard completely lockup. I can't even get them to work in safe mode. I had to do a repair installation to get it back to before driver installation so that I could at least use the keyboard and mouse in windows.

I'm guessing it is trying to install the apple kb/mouse drivers and that is causing the problem. I might be able to get an apple keyboard/mouse from one of the first iMacs that I have in storage, but is there a way to get it to work with a PC keyboard/mouse?

I need the drivers for network and video at least if the driver CD isn't going to work. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

Got it to work with the old apple kb/mouse from an iMac. The PC keyboard/mouse also worked after the driver installation was done. I had to use them to get ctrl-alt-del to work for the login.

You can manually install the drivers, just by pointing each device to the right one with device manager. Then you avoid installing drivers that will disable the hardware you are actually using.
