I installed the new bootcamp drivers (1.02) on my 15" macbook pro.

So far I haven't been able to notice anything.

No new drivers at all? (iSight, sound, infrared...)

The updates I looked for were fixes to the screensaver problem, 24bit color problem, and speaker/headphone problem.

None of these were fixed. iSight doesn't work yet, either.

apple probably only added some drivers for the new macbook. 1.01 could have added some drivers for the 17" and 1.02 for the macbook. just a thought...

and one thing we should not forget: apple would never give us all those drivers in a free beta product. because if they would do so, no one would buy it when it comes out. if I had all the drivers by now, I would not buy the final version when it comes out with 10.5. Why should I? Apple is smart and they probably allready have all those drivers ready, but they keep them closed until the final release of bootcamp...

Accually they could easily hand out the drivers, bootcamp beta is set to die next year so they would have nothing to lose by giving us all the drivers.

The 1.0.2 installer actually worked properly and finished in MCE on my 17" MBP unlike all the previous ones.

Actually I think the death of the boot camp beta will only make it difficult to partition your drive. Your existing partition/drivers will not be affected at all.

Yes, and actually bootcamp only provides the drivers and a partition tool. that's the only thing it does. The death of bootcamp will probably only refuse to burn this cd and refuse to partition the HD. But from the moment you have the drivers allready on a cd, there is no need of bootcamp anymore, since you can partition your HD with other tools such as diskutil.
That's is why I repeat that: apple would never provide us ALL the needed drivers for free in a beta product, as no one would need the final version.

Very valid point, but I would assume if Apple wasn't dumb about it that if they had a timer to kill the boot camp beta it would also involve them having it coded into the firmware update as well to lock it out.

Well one things for sure - there are new display drivers, and probably new Bluetooth from what I can tell. The weird multi-monitor glitch I was getting did seem to have been fixed.
I must say sometimes this overly secret nature of Apple does suck - a basic changelog would make me a happier user - I am using XP 95% of the time so basically bootcamp is more important to me than OSX - and every person I know with a Intel Mac has ended up with XP installed - nerd or not.

Actually cancel the graphics glitches - they're still happening.

Install the Omega Drivers and you won't have any glitches.

Will the Omega drivers also fix the S-Video output issue?

Thanks

Thanks

I am also very interested in this. Does anyone know any way to get the Output to TV (either via s-video or RCA) to work properly? It works great in OS X, but most movie download services only work in windows. I've heard HDMI works fine, but I'm not rich enough to go buy a nice TV
