Hey!

So i've got my MacBook Pro, 2.0 Ghz, 1 Gb ram, and it has been heavily customized for perfomance by adjusting Windows services, installing Launchy and Input Remapper, and disabling all unnecessary software running on startup or in the background. When plugged in, it runs amazingly fast and fantastic.

However, once I go on battery power, it seems to slow to a crawl! Almost instantly Firefox is heavily affected, Launchy, and a number of my programs that normally fly. Even using Explorer is slow. I can't find any way to adjust the machine so that it runs on full performance during batter use either, any ideas for help? Please let me know!

Thanks and take care!

Yeah, it's kind of silly that there isn't an easy way to get it to run at full speed on battery power.

Yeah, it is. I also read the post on this site regarding the method of disabling the batter & ac adaptor drivers in Device Manager, which seems to convince the computer that it is always running on AC power, but then you lose the battery monitor in the tray. Hopefully someone has some good ideas?
