Try as I might, I cannot find any workaround to get s-video output working in Windows XP. It works great in OS X (of course), but in Windows it is just black and white line flying down my TV screen.

I'm fairly certain that the problem is cause by the ATI software not recognizing it as a television (wrong refresh rate, resolution, etc.). In the ATI tray, it shows up as a monitor. Does anyone know a workaround or even a lead to try and fix this problem? I'd really like to be able to play movies from Windows on my TV (one of the few things Windows is good for).

I can tell there's some interest in this issue by looking at the number of times people have viewed this post. However, apparently no one has any leads on where we could start tinkering to solve this problem.

Oh well, I guess we'll have to wait for Leopard then.

I think our only hope for now is Leopard.

S-video is not supported with any of the current video drivers. Since the DVI connector is a proprietary Apple device, we will probably just have to wait and hope they include a more capable driver with Leopard.

or hope they'll ad it in the bootcamp drivers (wishfullthinking!)

Well, I mean, they will probably add it to the Boot Camp drivers. Boot Camp is just a Beta for now though, and really you've got to keep something for the final release on a program like Boot Camp, since users usually only need to run it once. I think it will be part of the selling points for me to buy Leopard.
