Can anybody tell me how to boot xp first and not boot ox first.

Its easy. In Mac OSX, go to Apple>System Preferences>Startup Disk>Windows. You'll have to restart. Now, when you turn on your Mac it will boot into Windows by default, and you can get to OS X by holding down alt.
