Hey. I tried formatting my OSX drive through the OSX Install Disk. I erased the OSX partition without problems. When I go to try to install OSX again, however, it says OSX cannot be installed on this drive. I currently am using bootcamp and my windows volume works fine. I cannot figure out how to install OSX again though. Is there any way to do this? I'm new to reinstalling OSX, not new to installing XP :) Thanks in advance.

Try the following:
1.Boot of OSX Disc
2.Menu Programs>Disk Utility
3.Select the Hard drive or OSX Partition, then do a "Very Disk". If it comes up with any errors, then do a "Repair Disk". Even if you do not get an error message, I would still try doing a Repair Disk.

Also make sure the partition is formatted to Mac OS X Extended Journaled.
