Got a few questions can you run xp on its own on a mini mac or do you have to use boot camp and duel boot senario? Also can you install media centre 2005 ? if so is there any issues with the drivers i.e graphics side and using the remote control ?
also am i right in thinking about early mini mac's do not use intel chips ? cause i have been looking to buy one and the early ones are cheaper and do not mention intel
thanks

You're right, early Mac Mini's did not run on Intel chips. Make sure to watch for this when you buy one (though I think there are several good reasons to buy from Apple).
It is possible to partition most of your drive as FAT32 or NTFS the install Windows XP and make it automatically boot into XP only, so that you wouldn't even know OS X was there, but I wouldn't recommend trying to get rid of OS X.
I'm pretty sure there is a workaround for the multi-disc problem that will allow you to install MCE, but I have to ask, why would you WANT to run XP MCE over OS X? Since the Mac Mini doesn't have TV inputs, you won't be able to record TV, which is one of the few good things about MCE. Also, the remote control does not yet work in Windows, so you would have to turn to some 3rd party remote control system.
By the way, since the two OS's don't really fight with one another, it's more of a dual boot scenario, rather than a duel boot scenario. Though if they are going to duel, my money's on OS X.
