Cannot print in xp under bootcamp to network printer.

I am unable to print to my xerox 8550 network printer. I am running xp pro under boot camp. Macbookpro 2.0htz processor and 2 gig of ram. The error simply says

" printing failed when starting the document"

I have not been able to print since may but its starting to become an issue. Has anyone had this type of problem.

this is strange and I don't really think that it has to do with bootcamp.
I have the same system as you and it works for me, even through wireless network. but I have a HP printer.
Do you have a firewall activated? try to disable it (even the dammed windows XP firewall which allways blocks things like network printers...)
If it workes, then you have to tell your firewall that this is a save connection.

On the subject you bring kirreip, I've heard a lot of people complaining about things they can't get working under Boot Camp, and I can tell from their descriptions that it isn't really a problem with using a Mac at all, rather it's just because it's really hard to make a lot of things work right in Windows. It's kind of funny that Apple would be blamed for Microsoft's shortcomings.
