From my experience, you have to use MacDrive. But with Vista I am hearing that doesn't install correctly... yet. Also, you can't install Vista on a Fat32 partition so that is out of the question as well. (as far as moving files from X to Vista and then rebooting).
So in short I've been transferring files with my iPod shuffle. But I'm sure any kind of solid state hard drive would work (thumb drives, MMC's, etc).

Are you installing Vista 64 bit or 32 bit. I had thought that Vista would be all 64 bit only. Also what RC did you install.
But I haven't kept up with it as much as I should have.
Thanks

I wanted to note, that since win 2000, you haven't been able to install on Fat32. When Microsoft brought out XP, they did away with the Fat32 option in the installer.
Xp will work fine on a Fat 32 partion as I have installed many machines with that and Fat 32 will easily handle a partion over 32GB. (Not sure why Apple makes that statement). I know it will easily handle up to 200GB and believe it will go to at least 400 GB. I feel that Vista will also work under Fat32, but I haven't tried it.
The problem is that on the XP side, you have to use a 3rd party program like Partion Magic. This tool lets you go back and reformat the partion to fat32 from NTFS without losing any data. I have used it successfully for years.
I tried to load on my MacbookPro with boot camp, and it can't see the disk correctly. This was my idea on getting the XP partion back to Fat 32 from NTFS. I also wanted to try and create a 2nd partion under XP but Partion M won't work.

I have Vista 32bits. I did try to install it on Fat32 and it didn't like it. I almost had to reformat my whole computer but in the end i fixed it. :)

I have seen where several other MacBook Pro owners where able to install Vista with minimal problems. Helping me just boot to the disc would be tremendious.
Everytime I boot to the Vista RC1 Install disc, I receive the ACPI Blue Screen referencing non-compliant BIOS. I know the MacBook Pro doesn't use BIOS and runs of off EFI, however, I have seen in several forums where deleting the EFI partition was not necessary in order to complete the Vista install.
Any suggestions so that I can at least boot to the disc would be most helpful.
BTW...I am not able to boot to the Vista Disc using Parallels either...same ACPI BSOD. Burn a new disc maybe? Has any one else had this problem???
