Upgrade or Full Version

I would assume that you need a full version of xp pro.
will a full version of xp home do?
will an xp pro upgrade work?

what about microsofts xp product activation?

That shouldn't be a problem, cuz the DRM is not in the hardware but in the software - as long as your license key is valid and you don't have a very customized CD (Dell-only, etc.) for WinXP, then you should be fine. Of course, installing it on tons of PCs will not go unnoticed by MS when activation time comes...

It won't work if you have to change CD during installation: there is no eject button.

I know that the instalation disk has to be modifyed but my question is...

will upgrade versions work? (i would think not, but its not clear on this forum)

and has anyone validated their xp install on a mac or is this not an issue? (dantheman82 answered this pretty well)
