So, for Windows XP to function properly on the Mac, I"d expect fast boot times, hiberation to work (which in fact saves the RAM to the hard drive) as well as standby on the MacBookPro (for instance). Also, I'd really like to see Visual Studio up and running as well as...Photoshop. Anyone have any of this up and running, and were tweaks needed?
It would be good to organize these forums further so that Problems can have their threads, as well as fixes/workarounds/hacks that help us to collate our ideas. That way, some of us (maybe me) could potentially work to bring the drivers and the tweaks together so we can create a very simple start boot screen that works with an OSX CD, an existing XP CD (not slip-streamed, etc.), and so on. That way, we could even have a startup menu for each type of Mac product and work from there... just a thought.
Plus I really do want to say a BIG THANKYOU to Colin for posting the results publicly and to Mr. Lopez and Mr. Wasserman (or narf and blanka) for all your work in getting this up and running!
