I would like to propose to the moderator(s) to start separate Troubleshooting Threads for each of the Intel Macs. I find it difficult to wade thru all of the threads only to find out that they are talking about troubleshooting advice for a different model than what I have.
Perhaps we can start here for us 17" Intel iMac owners only? Does your dual boot setup work? If not, what problems are you encountering? How did you fix it?
Mine freezes up at the point where I am to wait 2-3 minutes. Nothing happens after that. Not only am I not able to get to the Select Partition screen in XP, it looks as though something has erased the MS-DOS partition, which BTW is now listed as a 200mb Partition 1 instead of 2.) I can't erase it again in Disk Utility as it is greyed out and will not mount. Have to Erase and Partition the whole drive again and start over.
Anyway, I'll check back once and a while. I am not going to waste another weekend. Children are more important than computers. Life is too short. Good luck! :)
P.S...One more note. I don't like being listed as a "Mac Newbie" as it is far from the truth. Perhaps being listed as an "On Mac Newbie" would be more appropriate? IMHO
