 When I try to build the patched XP-Pro-CD with Nero, it grows bigger than 700mb, about 900MB (bigger than the original CD of XP Pro) so I can't burn it on a cd. Why does this happen? Is it normal? Can I just burn it on a DVD and everything works fine?
Or what am I doing wrong?
thanks for your help

It shouldn't be adding much of anything to the CD. I mean the patch is only like 700KB or so....

On the left hand side of the pane window in nero delete everything and start over from scratch (under the xp_sp2 label)....see if this helps.

thanks for the tipps, but it didn't help. I tried it several times. My XP CD is off a HP PC and contains more folders than in the instructions to burn the CD. I removed these folders except for -docs -I386 and -SUPPORT. Hope it will work (other folders I deleted were -Compaq, -Valueadd, -GRWXP32_ZX, -DOTNETFX). Does anybody know it these are the drivers/software specific for this HP model?
I will give an update whether it works or not

I used an retail XP cd. I had to remove all of the files except for the ones listed in the instructions. It worked that way.
