Hello world :)
I have just finished installing Sabayon Linux (gentoo based) on my white MacBook. It works great right out of the box!
I have the MacBook set to dual boot with os X and Sabayon using rEFTi. I've followed the OnMac guide for Ubuntu Dapper, but had problems trying to apply it to Edgy. I was afraid of Gentoo complexity until I found Sabayon and tried it out. It was unbelievably simple. After installation I had Grub, Beryl, and WiFi for the Atheros card all working on the first boot. The funny thing is that there is hardly any discussion about the Intel Mac in the Sabayon forums.
If you want to run gentoo on your intel Mac you gotta check out Sabayon !!
For beryl type sabayon xgl when you boot the live cd and then when you install it will configure beryl for you!
