Having a couple problems with my MAC with Windows XP after the latest update to Bootcamp (1.1.2). First problem is that when I use the touchpad mouse, the mouse is jumping all over the place and doesnt work. I have to plug in an external mouse out of frustration.

Second, I have two unrecognized devices - "PCI Device" and unknown device which I cant figure out what they are.

Is everyone having these same issues or is it just me?

Also, XP seems to boot extremely slow compared to other HP laptops we have at work.

If you are on a macbookpro, then the PCI unknown device has been then since 1.1.1 or whatever the 1st level of bootcamp was. I have been told it's the Apple ambient light bus, and that would make sense as only Apple could write a driver for it.

The mouse jumping is an issue and you should consider backing off only the 1.1.2 mouse driver. I agree it's a total pain and makes the trackpad non useable. Instead install the keyboard mapping software that is featured on this site, the author tells how to take out the Apple mouse 1.1.2 driver. so you won't have a conflict. Here is a link

I still have problems with the inputremapper mouse driver. It will seemingly slow down and attempt to stop, but you can recover it byt moving your finger around the trackpad in a few quick circles. IMO much better than the newer Apple mouse and it's inability to stay in one place. It's unfortunate as Apple finally put in a feature to disable the trackpad while typing with the 1.1.2 driver.

With the latest version of inputremapper, you can also control your fans and ambient light, and LCD brightness plus more I am sure. The fan control is critical as XP boots up with the fans at the slowest speed and will never increase them, at least on my machine, which is a fundamental power management issue in XP that Apple has refused to workon.

InputRemapper mouse driver? Aren't you confusing the mouse driver with the keyboard driver? I wasn't aware InputRemapper installed a mouse driver at all.

Yes, my mistake, it's the keyboard drivers that you replace not the mouse.
